Day 2 of my New Year’s Eve fashion countdown continues with showstopping dresses.
You just can’t end the year without having that last wow moment and this is the perfect time to truly get all dressed up. Depending on the party you will be attending listed below is an attire breakdown. A party dress for every social event.
Formal or Black Tie
Temperley London Burgundy silk-satin one-shoulder gown
This gorgeous one-shoulder draped gown screams red carpet moment.
Style tip: hair should be pulled back from the face, a Chignon would be perfect.
Cocktail
3.1 Phillip Lim Sequin Illusion-Back dress
To wear this dress means you are ready to party. Not only will you make a grand entrance but an exit as well with the sheer back panel.
Style tip: although you do not have to wear this dress with tights I feel it looks much better with tights. Do however keep the shoes simple.
The downtown hipster
Alexander Wang Taffeta and Twill Ivory dress
Style tip: accessories to a minimal but pair dress with some sort of bootie.
Semi-Formal
Sue Wong Blush Strapless Ostrich Feather dress
Style tip: whimsical makeup for inspiration see Yves Saint Laurent holiday 2010
Festive
Tadashi Shoji Gold Woven bandage dress
Will hug your body in all the right places.
Style tip: shoes MUST be extremely high (guaranteed to walk sexier) and play up the eyes in dark smoky look. For a more glam evening look pair dress with a blazer or jacket.
