The Closing ceremony on the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival certainty did not disappoint. There were only two stand out gowns and it should come to no surprise that their Couture.
This year at Cannes there were a lot of beautiful and true red carpet moments. A few standouts were Fan Bingbing, Angelina Jolie, Uma Thurman, Zoe Saldana, Jane Fonda as you can tell hard to pick. Which were your favorites?
Kirsten Dunst
To the Cannes Finale in which she received a Best Actress award for her performance in the Lars von Trier Melancholia film she choose Chanel Couture. Kirsten wore a strapless silver with ivory Chanel gown and jewels. The shoes are a disaster unfortunately, look at the sad black vintage Valentino pumps. If they were only a different color a total homerun.
Uma Thurman
Cannes judge Uma Thurman had two important roles in France; judging films and bringing us memorable red carpet moments. I was delightfully surprised by some of the truly beautiful gowns Uma wore during her time in Cannes. She stuck with solid colors even wearing flats which of course at her stature was not a problem. This electric blue long sleeve Armani Privé gown is so elegant. Hair, makeup, jewels just help make this perfection.
