Last night marked the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards at the Shrine Auditorium, in Los Angeles and the red carpet was filled with a diversity of color and trends. Did this dose of red carpet fashion disappoint or did it leave us wanting more…
Let’s take a look at some of the highlights from the SAG Awards.
Mila Kunis
Mila Kunis wearing a strapless chiffon Alexander McQueen Resort “11 gown with Cartier jewels. She or what Natalie Portman nicknamed her “Sweet lips Kunis” looked flawless; hair, makeup, accessories, gown — puurfection! This was definitely in my top 3 favorite looks of the evening.
Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman wearing a Nina Ricci Pre-Fall “11 gown which she paired with a Fred Leighton necklace was statuesque. The moment Nicole turned around to show off that beautiful hand lace detailing in the back of the gown she killed it! The hair however just didn’t work but who cares she’s got a new baby at home to take care off plus Sunday Rose. So leave her alone!
January Jones
January Jones a surprise with not choosing Versace this time around instead wearing a Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall gown which looked exquisite. She paired the look with Roger Vivier shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Christina Hendricks
Another Mad Men cast member Christina Hendricks surprised with wearing a dark sequin L’Wren Scott Fall “11 gown. Guessing her previous mishap of losing a piece of jewelry might have weighed in on her decision to do minimal jewels. She did pair her gown though with a Judith Leiber clutch. Was this too much fabric for her though…
Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence stands out in a bright pink Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall gown and Fred Leighton earrings.
Kim Kardashian
Although I’m not sure why exactly she’s there, Kim Kardashian showed up wearing a beautiful one-shoulder jeweled encrusted bodice Marchesa Resort “11 gown with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and Judith Leiber clutch.
Hailee Steinfeld
Hailee Steinfeld was age appropriate in an electric bold striped custom Prada Srping “11 RTW gown.
Hilary Swank
Boy did Hilary Swank do Donatella proud last night. Hilary wore a one-shoulder nude Versace gown from the Pre-Fall 2011 collection. She nailed it on the red carpet with this gown, my best dressed of the night.
John Krasinski
By far the best dressed man last night was John Krasinski from the Office in a navy blue Prada tux. His wife Emily Blunt has taught him well.
Fashion trends: belted, strapless, one-shoulder, bold color gowns. The must have designer clutch is by Judith Leiber.
See you at the BAFTA awards.
